Doggust 2022

An August art challenge wherein you draw a different dog every day. Mostly redesigns of pre-existing/pop culture characters made with a combination of AI imagery, 3D modeling, photobashing, and digital painting. August 2022.

The Legend of Silver Fang

Reimagining of a Japanese franchise from the 1980s. The challenge came down to making so many dog characters look recognizable and unique from each other. April 2020.

The Lion King

A reimagining of Disney's classic as well as an affectionate "response" to the 2019 remake's take on the source material's art direction. Lots of details, but still cartoony where it counts. May 2020.

Little Ponies

A cavalcade of tiny horses inspired by properties like My Little Pony and Filly Funtasia. 3D character sculpts were also made by me. October 2020.

Spyro the Dragon

Reimagining of the original PS1 game as a "live action" movie. Each is a mix of 2D painting and AI assisted 3D modeling. April 2021.

Warrior Cats

Character designs and paintings based on the young adult novel series of the same name. These were specifically designed to look as if they came from a 1990s VHS rip; very fun. January 2020.

Watership Down

Based on the novel by Richard Adams. Aiming for something on the border of realistic and stylized. November 2020.

Miscellaneous

Various one-off character designs for various projects. Several serve as reimaginings of pop culture characters. Created for things such as online classrooms, collaborative writing projects, virtual pet games, and indie animated series.

About the Artist

My name is Beckham, and I draw.I'm a Colorado resident with a history of serial doodling. I've been working as a primarily freelance artist since 2012, dipping my toes in a little bit of everything along the way. Self directed, innovative, and always ready to learn, my work has spanned everything from magazine spreads to kids' books to concept design and asset creation for indie animation projects. I have experience with many different disciplines including but not limited to matte painting, sequential art, photobashing, 3D modeling and sculpting, and visual development, most of which I regularly combine in order to create new, unique concepts. I pride myself in being able to work in a wide variety of styles and creating art for a wide variety of uses.Whatever you need drawn, I can do it for you! Drop me a line, tell me about your project, let me know your budget, and we'll go from there.
